Digital tools use improved by around 20%

In just two months, a team of seven people from Direct People and Generali Česká pojišťovna, in collaboration with RedButton EDU, created an interactive digital tool to assess and improve the IT skills of the insurance company’s employees. Our solution, which combines gamification and storytelling, has been very successful – 92% of the insurance company’s 5,400 employees in the Czech Republic and Slovakia have already completed it. The use of established tools such as Teams and OneDrive has increased by around 20%.

The interactive digital tool simulates the real working environment of an insurance company. Employees solve specific tasks in commonly used tools and applications. The entire environment is divided into two levels – basic, which is mandatory for everyone, and advanced, which is primarily for managers. Tasks include changing the time of a meeting in Outlook, setting up a signature or creating a team in the Teams application. Completing these tasks will reveal employees’ current level of digital literacy, while also teaching them new skills if they are lacking in the given area. The tool avoids unnecessary training and theory and focuses solely on applications used by the company. Which immediately makes it easier for them to perform their daily tasks.

A solid IT foundation for all employees is essential (not only) for increasing efficiency with AI, but also for the company’s overall ability to innovate. That’s why we’re talking to Generali about further extensions to this tool, and to other companies about a customized solution for them.
